On September 22nd, Rodgers, Silverman and a host of 200 celebrities gathered to re-record Rodger's smash hit We Are Family because we are all part of the American Family. The recording was a vehicle for hope through an uplifting beat and a way to convey a message of unity. The hopeful message sparked the world of children's television to assemble their own version of the song with over 100 children's characters. The music video bourn from this project was aired simultaneously on PBS, Nickelodeon and Disney Channel on March 11th. The children's message was of the importance of tolerance and the global family.
