8th Annual Celebration Gala

The We Are Family Foundation really felt the love from its supporters on October 26th, 2010 at its 8th Annual Celebration Gala, taking place at Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC. Hosts Mo Rocca and Rosie Perez brought the funny, while Jackson Browne, Little Steven Van Zandt, and CHIC brought the house down with their live performances. Attendees gathered to honor Jackson Browne, Norma & Russ Ramsey, and Imam Muhammad Ashafa & Pastor James Wuye for their strides in philanthropy and peacemaking. A very successful live auction included experiential items with Kate Pierson and her The B-52’s bandmates, a photoshoot with Bruce Weber, a meditative seminar with Deepak Chopra, and a lunch with Gayle King and Nile Rodgers. The auction alone raised nearly $175,000 for WAFF’s global programs. Thanks to all who came out and showed their support!
