International Day for Tolerance

On November 17, 2003, WAFF celebrated UNESCO's International Day for Tolerance at the United Nations with the hour-long international webcast "We Are Family: Educating Our Children for a Safer World," along with the Anti-Defamation League, Operation Respect, Shoah Foundation and Court TV. Hosted by Al Roker of NBC's The Today Show, the program connected young people worldwide to encourage diversity, strengthen the human spirit and give a voice to today's youth. Other special guests included Peter Yarrow, Nane Annan, Shashi Tharoor and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, among others.
