Just Peace Summit 2008

The 2008 Three Dot Dash Just Peace Summit, created and hosted by WAFF, was held March 29-April 4 in New York City and brought together 30 Global Teen Leaders (GTLs) from 18 countries and five continents. For one week, GTLs learned how to better "tell their stories" from prominent leaders and activists in order to gain media attention and public support for their peace-promoting projects, inspired by late 13-year-old poet and peacemaker Mattie Stepanek. The Summit sparked a contagious optimism -- a renewed belief in the power of peace. But this is only the beginning... The next Just Peace Summit will be held in New York City, March 19 – 26, 2010.
