Oliver was raised in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire in the United Kingdom and immigrated to New York City in 2002. Fresh out of High School, Oliver worked in the field of media, working for New York-based production company Dogmatic Inc. as a Production Assistant and Assistant Editor. In 2005 Oliver joined the Film & Video Program at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in NYC. He quickly focused himself on Directing and Cinematography. Over his three years at SVA he worked on projects ranging from musicals to westerns to serious drama. In his endless pursuit to know anything and everything, Oliver worked as a Director of Photography, Production Sound Mixer, Boom Operator, Editor, Assistant Director and Director. He has worked freelance as a Director and Producer for Virgin Records as well as a Mac Specialist at Apple Soho. He Graduated from SVA in 2008 with a BFA, and after volunteering at the 2008 Three Dot Dash Just Peace Summit, he joined the We Are Family Foundation team full-time in August 2008.
