Sooze Plunkett-Green

Sooze Plunkett-Green, hopped the pond (much to the joy of her family-they even paid for the oars!), fresh from Bath University with nerves of steel and a love of music (having failed dismally playing any instrument or being able to hold a tune even though from a classically-trained, talented family of musicians, opera singers and conductors).

Her extensive music background began as Professional Manager to the legendary music publishers Belwin Mills/Columbia Pictures Music Group. She signed and developed songwriters/producers and shopped the music catalogues of over 30,000 song titles in all genres of music for CPMG/BM. Worked with the Duke Ellington Project Partnership (with the Duke's son, the late Mercer Ellington), on the hit Broadway musical, Sophisticated Ladies; teamed Antonio D'Almeda's Thematic Offenbach catalogue with Oxford University press; Patrick Stewart for his Grammy winning "Peter & The Wolf" best children's spoken work album. Consulted for Hush Productions for Artists & Producers, Freddie Jackson, Paul Lawrence, Najee, Alex Bujon, etc. and Electra/Pendulum records – working directly with their Grammy winners, the Digable Planets, etc.

As Co-owner of Giant Recording Studios, NYC (clients included Keith Richards, Steve Winwood, etc.), she then founded British Intelligence – a high profile music management/PR & Event Company. Illustrious clients included BBC Americas – Absolutely Fabulous & the Keith Haring music installation exhibit for The Whitney Museum. British Intelligence then joined forces with Jane Brinton's This Beats Workin' which served as Production Coordinator for Madonna’s Erotica and Immaculate Collection CD’s and countless remix singles. Organized open casting sessions in New York for dancers and musicians for Madonna's "The Girlie Show Tour." Oversaw the career development and personal management of several celebrated DJ's and record producers, including Shep Pettibone and Junior Vasquez. Promoted dance and alternative music to clubs, radio stations and retail stores for the major record labels. Garnered them dozens of Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum Awards and over 50 Top 5 records, resulting in increased revenues of over $20m.

Sooze proudly begged, schemed and wormed her way in to Nile Rodgers Productions in 1998 and is now CEB to Nile Rodgers – Chief Executive Brit!
