Emmy Award-winning Danny Schechter is a television producer and independent filmmaker who also writes and speaks about media issues. He is the Executive Editor and Blogger-in-Chief at MediaChannel.org, the world's largest online media issues network, as well as Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Globalvision, a New York-based television and film production company. Danny directed The Making and Meaning of We Are Family in 2001 and has just written a new book on the economic crisis called PLUNDER (Cosimo Books). His latest film, Viva Madiba, is a tribute to Nelson Mandela at age 90.
