We Are Family Foundation's Mattie J. T. Stepanek Peacemaker Award honors any person, regardless of age, who has made a significant contribution toward promoting a peaceful society. It was named in honor of the late 13-year-old poet and peacemaker, Mattie J. T. Stepanek.
