Project: Queertopia

Other Village People (OVP) is dedicated to curating experiences that foster liberation and authenticity within the LGBTQIAP2S+ communities. Established in 2015 in Durban, South Africa, OVP was born out of the necessity for inclusive social spaces for LGBTQIAP2S+ individuals. At the heart of their initiatives is Queertopia, an annual immersive festival designed to unite queer communities and allies, creating a space for celebration, connection and the expression of true selves. Through a blend of art, music, wellness activities and culinary delights, Queertopia embodies OVP's vision to envision and bring to life conceptual, multidisciplinary creative experiences.
