Casa de Farinha e outras histórias (House of Flour and Other Stories) focuses on the rural communities of Alves and Cachoeira, located in the interior of Bahia, Brazil. The House of Flour serves as a significant space where people not only produce food but also share their experiences, challenges, joys, theories, humorous anecdotes and collectively organize their lives. The podcast strives to be a platform that serves as a voice to highlight the strategies people employ to not only survive but thrive through the production of food and the preservation of collective memories.

Food and the production process establish powerful connections, fostering a sense of community akin to the traditional gatherings around ‘caruru,’ ‘mugunzá’ and other age-old celebrations where people come together to pray and celebrate life.
