Shyaam Ramkumar
Shyaam is a seasoned leader in sustainability and circular economy, with over 15 years of experience across the United States, Europe, and Japan. He has built his career at major consulting firms, impact-focused NGOs, disruptive startups, and in venture capital, consistently driving the growth and scaling of sustainable technologies.
In his current role as Partner Success Manager at Plug and Play, he works with major corporations to solve their innovation challenges and forge collaboration opportunities. Previously, as Head of Growth Strategy at the Dutch startup Circularise, he led the company's expansion into new markets like aviation and Japan. He has also held key roles including Knowledge and Innovation Manager at Circle Economy, and Sustainability Consultant at Accenture, where he partnered with industry and government to identify new business opportunities through future-looking sustainability and circular economy concepts.
Shyaam holds a Bachelor's in Economics from Northwestern University, a Master's in Industrial Ecology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and a PhD in Economic Sociology at the University of Milan.
