Temilade Salami

Temilade is a leading expert in climate education and communications, deeply committed to empowering young people across Africa. She is the visionary founder of EcoChampions, a youth-led organization that connects young Africans with crucial opportunities, tools, and resources for climate action.

Over the past seven years, Temilade has spearheaded impactful climate programs spanning 26 African countries and authored two insightful environmental education books. Her strong academic foundation complements her practical work, earning her Master's in Environment, Development, and Policy from the University of Sussex as a distinguished Chevening Scholar.

Currently, Temilade serves as a Youth Project Consultant for GPE. In this vital role, she's actively involved in co-creating the Youth Statement for the Case for Investment. Temilade also champions youth engagement in GPE donor countries, ensuring these initiatives remain both impactful and innovative. She brings in her dynamic blend of passion, expertise, and lived experience to powerfully advocate for education financing and youth inclusion on global stages, significantly amplifying the youth voice in international education conversations. When she's not traveling the world, Temilade dedicates her time to building a thriving online community for young people globally.
