Project: Tomorrow in Focus
As a science enthusiast, Shilo understood that scientific discoveries could inspire action when communicated in a way that resonated with people. He joined Tomorrow in Focus, a UN-accredited nonprofit producing AI-driven climate films, to change how climate knowledge reaches the world. As Junior Producer, he contributed to “Imagine Land 2040,” the UN's first hybrid AI-generated climate film, which premiered at COP16 and brought land restoration to international audiences. He also conducts award-winning water remediation research, developing low-cost solutions to improve water quality in Indigenous communities across Arizona. Shilo draws on that research in his work with the UNCCD and the G20 Global Land Initiative on climate policy and science communication, then builds media to carry it further. Working at the seam of science, policy, and storytelling, he helps environmental solutions reach both the communities that need them and the institutions able to scale them.
