We Are Family Foundation’s Three Dot Dash program empowers Global Teen Leaders (GTLs) who are between the ages of 13-19, working to ensure everyone’s basic human needs are met.
As part of the Three Dot Dash program, GTLs:
Attend the Just Peace Summit, connecting with fellow GTLs and gaining invaluable skills and relationships. The next summit takes place in Stockholm, June 2025!
Participate in a world-class, yearlong mentorship with an expert in their field.
Access year-round development tools and virtual programming designed to enhance leadership skills.
Join a global network of changemakers spanning 75+ countries and six continents.

& THE 2025 GLOBAL TEEN LEADER APPLICATION PROCESS:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
If you can answer YES to ALL seven (7) of the below questions, you are eligible to apply as a 2025 Global Teen Leader!
Will I be 13–19 years old in 2025?
Am I working to make the world a better place?
Is my work already active and more than just an idea?
Does my work have an environmental focus? (see below)
Am I a key leader in my work?
Can I give clear examples of the impact my work has made?
Do I plan to continue this work (or a version of it) for the next two years?
ENVIRONMENTAL FOCUS
In 2025, WAFF is taking the Three Dot Dash Just Peace Summit to Stockholm, Sweden — a city globally celebrated for its sustainability — to unite young changemakers around the environment and its intersections with our other basic human needs like education, food, water, health, shelter, and safety.
We welcome applications from those working solely on environmental issues or combining sustainability with other focus areas like youth empowerment, STEM, education, or social justice.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
To be considered, applicants must complete all three (3) steps of the 2025 Global Teen Leader application.
Step 1: Pre-Application
All applicant forms will be submitted on WAFF’s application portal, Submittable. First you will need to create an account (username and password) with Submittable.
Then you must submit a Pre-Application to confirm you meet the program requirements. The Pre-Application takes 15-30 minutes to complete.
The Three Dot Dash Internal Selection Committee will review Pre-Applications within one week of being submitted (please note processing may take longer between December 20, 2024, and January 2, 2025).
Step Two: Main Application
If your Pre-Application is approved, you will receive the 2025 Global Teen Leader Main Application link via email.
The Main Application takes an additional 20-30 minutes to complete.
Step Three: Nominator Form
Your Main Application will ask you to list your “Nominator”, or the person who will provide a recommendation or reference on your behalf. This is required of all applicants.
Nominators may fall into one of five (5) categories:
Educator: A teacher or staff member from any educational institution.
WAFF Alumni: A former Three Dot Dash GTL, Youth To The Front Fund Frontliner, or TEDxTeen Speaker.
Coalition Partner: A representative from a Three Dot Dash partner organization.
WAFF Team Member: A We Are Family Foundation team member, Board member, or Mentor.
Community Champion: Someone from the applicant’s community who knows their work and is NOT a relative or close friend.

Our application process is divided into three steps: the Pre-Application and the Main Application, and the Nominator Form.
The first step is the Pre-Application, designed to confirm that you meet the program requirements. Once you submit the Pre-Application, our Internal Selection Committee will review it within one (1) week. (Some Pre-Applications may take longer to process if submitted between December 20- January 2).
If your Pre-Application is approved you will receive the Main Application, which includes questions that will take an additional 20-30 minutes to complete. Applicants who begin the year 2025 at age 12, or turn 20 during the year, are eligible to apply. You must be between the ages of 13 – 19 at some point during 2025.

For Three Dot Dash 2025, we are looking for Global Teen Leaders who are leading social impact initiatives that focus on environmental issues as they intersect with all basic human needs.

Absolutely not. For the Just Peace Summit, all air/train travel, visa fees, hotel, meals, and ground travel in Stockholm will be paid for by We Are Family Foundation for selected GTLs.
