MAGDALENA LOMBARDI PLASILOVA, M.D., P.H.D.
A native of the Czech Republic, Dr. Plasilova previously served as chief of breast surgery and director of the breast center at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. She attended Charles University in Prague, where she earned her medical degree, followed five years later by a doctorate in stem cell physiology and pathophysiology.
Dr. Plasilova completed research fellowships at Cleveland Clinic’s Taussig Cancer Center and at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and a breast surgery fellowship at Yale New Haven Health’s Smilow Cancer Hospital in Connecticut. She is currently assistant professor at NYU Langone Health, Department of Surgery in New York City. She is a breast surgical oncologist, treating benign and malignant breast diseases. She is skilled at all breast surgeries including breast conservation surgery and nipple sparing mastectomy surgeries. Her expertise with "hidden scar" technique allows her to achieve superior cosmetic results.
She is also involved in pioneering research to identify new breast cancer biomarkers and earlier detection. She also has an interest in International/Global Health and is expanding referrals from multiple foreign countries.
