NEW YORK, NY, May 20, 2025 – We Are Family Foundation (WAFF) is honored to announce the former President of MSNBC, Rashida Jones, has joined its esteemed Board of Directors. A multiple award-winning journalist and producer, Rashida carved her journey as a strategic storyteller and communicator beginning as a morning show TV producer in Norfolk, VA while still in college. Often being the youngest in the room, she rose through the ranks of NBC News and MSNBC quickly to become the first African American woman to hold the position of president of a major cable news network in the United States in 2021 – MSNBC.
