THE SUMMIT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING

Our globally acclaimed Mentor program is one of the key components that sets Three Dot Dash apart from other youth initiatives. Each Global Teen Leader (GTL) is carefully matched with an influencer specific to the GTLs’ goals, to work together for a minimum of one year and take their impact to new levels.

The Three Dot Dash Mentor program attracts influential experts and industry leaders from all walks of life and cultures around the world.  While it is the GTL match that brings Mentors into the program, we have truly cultivated a unique super community of these thought leaders and continue to foster highly impactful networking and engagement between the GTLs, Mentors and team.

Three Dot Dash is more than just a Mentorship program. It’s my global family. The incredible people I’ve had the chance to meet, both GTLs and Mentors just as extraordinary, are endless. I cannot count the valuable relationships I have formed and the doors that have opened. It was a tough year for me with the death of my grandfather. Seeing the world through my GTL’s eyes and work provided me with as much guidance as I gave to her. It’s been life changing.

PROCESS

Once a GTL is accepted, they have a one-on-one Zoom with the Mentor Program Director to explore their needs and goals for their work. From there, Three Dot Dash carefully searches and vets potential Mentors until finding the ultimate Mentor match.

Mentor matches are revealed to the GTLs on Mentor Day at the Summit. Mentors have a separate curriculum and networking session together followed by dynamic and unforgettable GTL / Mentor introductions. GTLs and Mentors work together the remainder of the day in a structured and creative atmosphere using various tools and resources to form bonds and set intentions and goals for the year ahead. The day is complete with a social dinner for all GTLs and Mentors to further network and strengthen relationships.

MENTOR CRITERIA

  • Attend and engage during a 90-minute Mentor Kickoff Zoom in August

  • Commit to 12 months of Mentorship following Mentor Day, although many relationships last MUCH longer by choice

  • Communicate regularly during the year with matched GTL, Schedule is supported by Mentor Program Director, but flexible with a Mentor & GTL’s schedule. We recommend a Zoom session or phone call at least every other month

  • Submit a Post-Summit Survey, complete a mid-year check-in call with Mentor Program Director, and a year-end survey

Three Dot Dash does an amazing job of bringing the right caliber of professionals together who all compliment each other. Mentoring becomes so much easier when you have like-minded people participating. You realize early on that you will take away just as much from the program, if not more, than you contribute.
