Project: Platinum Intervention
Focus Area: Disabilities Justice

Blessing is a practicing pharmacist, published writer, human rights advocate and the Director General of Platinum Interventions Care Initiative – a non-profit organization focused on empowering persons with disabilities, alleviating the suffering of internally displaced persons and taking children off the streets to enroll them in schools.

As a disability rights advocate, Blessing rolled out the viral campaign #RampUpNigeria to address the accessibility challenges of persons with disabilities in Nigeria, and to push the government to implement the Disability Rights Act. With the success of #RampUpNigeria, Blessing has installed disability ramps in public secondary schools in Abuja, empowered mobility challenged students with mobility aids and continues to hold awareness marches. As a Pollination Project Grantee, she has ensured even more accessible schools in her community. Blessing also popularized the Disability Rights Act in Nigeria, collaborating efforts with other social media influencers.

Blessing is a United Nations Youth Steering Committee member on Beijing+25, an Enterprise for Peace Scholar and a 2021 One Young World Ambassador. Blessing has won several awards, including a humanitarian award from Voice Global recognizing her advocacy to reduce inequalities in Nigeria.
