Project: The Green Spark (TGS)
Carter founded The Green Spark (TGS) to bridge the gap between climate innovations and the communities that need them. TGS partners with startups to implement tech-driven solutions for conservation, water remediation, regenerative agriculture, and waste management, engaging young volunteers in the implementation. TGS’s partnerships have helped them install water filtration systems in schools and remediate toxic water in communities across California and Iowa. Carter documents these efforts to raise awareness by sharing community stories. His documentary "The Value of Water," capturing a remediation initiative in Iowa, won Best Documentary at a film festival and screened at Google San Francisco Headquarters. Carter's experience in a regenerative farming program at TomKat Ranch inspired TGS's regenerative agriculture initiative, bringing youth to ranches across California to learn sustainable practices from experts. In Summer 2025, he will share his learnings with government officials and farmers in Timor-Leste, the first step to expansion into developing nations.
