Project: RedJIH: Network of Young Innovators in Hydrogen
At 14, Jeni’s passion for chemistry led her to develop a water-based fuel and generator. Jeni formed RedJIH to build a community of young researchers, industry leaders, and enthusiasts advancing the green hydrogen economy. RedJIH raises public awareness, organizes educational conferences, connects students with expert mentors, and advances green hydrogen research. Since 2021, Jeni has educated 10,000+ individuals on the benefits of hydrogen, earning her international recognition and naming her one of Mexico's top 5 STEM students and a RISE fellow. Jeni is the first minor to present at the National Congress of the Mexican Society of Electrochemistry, considered the nation’s most important electrochemistry congress, where she shared research on hydrogen education, which she will likely present at the XXV International Mexican Hydrogen Congress in 2025. She also plans to co-lead Mexico’s first study on intergenerational collaboration in the hydrogen sector, driving a systemic shift to energy sovereignty.
