Project: Shanbalik Uzbekistan
Salohiddin founded Shanbalik Uzbekistan to cultivate a lasting culture of environmental responsibility. As Uzbekistan's first collaborative climate platform, Shanbalik organizes advocacy workshops, innovation challenges, mass clean-ups, and events to promote collective climate action. The movement has mobilized youth to collect 5+ tons of waste, established 12 regional chapters, and supported 10 grassroots initiatives. In 2025, Salohiddin co-organized Uzbekistan’s first-ever Local Conference of Youth impacting 8,000 young people, and co-created a national climate science curriculum with the Ministry of Ecology. Salohiddin further advances youth representation as a COP29 and RCOY Central Asia delegate, leader of Young Climate Advocates Uzbekistan, UNICEF advisor, and contributor to climate strategy alongside international dignitaries at the Samarkand International Climate Forum. In 2025, he plans to engage 10,000+ youth in grassroots action, publish a book uplifting young activists, and collaborate with UNICEF to include youth in the development of Nationally Determined Contributions.
